NETMARKS "SecureSuite CX" Allows Use of FeliCa for
Authentication Purposes with Applications Running on Citrix Presentation Server

NETMARKS, INC. (Moto-Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Atsushi Ohashi; "NETMARKS") has developed a software package with the name "SecureSuite CX" that allows Sony's contactless IC card technology "FeliCa"*1 to be used as the authentication package for applications running on "Citrix Presentation Server" ("CPS"; Citrix Systems Japan K.K.) and will today release the new product to market.
SecureSuite CX will allow users to the CPS's Virtual Channel function to acquire information from devices connected to CPS clients and, by using this in conjunction with applications running on the CPS, to read FeliCa data via a "FeliCaPort/PaSoRi"*2 connected to the client PC. This will make it easy for software vendors marketing applications that use FeliCa to establish linkages with FeliCa even in a CPS environment.

Mr. Shunsuke Oko, President of Citrix Systems Japan K.K., comments on the launch of the new product as follows:
"Citrix Systems Japan K.K. welcomes the release of NETMARKS, Inc.'s SecureSuite CX to market. The ability to use FeliCa (which is used for ID purposes in student and employee ID cards) for authentication purposes in conjunction with applications running on the Citrix Presentation Server will provide more robust security for application virtualization purposes. NETMARKS is one of our technology partners and in future we hope to strengthen our collaborative relationship, enhance the linkage between the Citrix Presentation Server and IC card and fingerprint authentication, and offer our customers solutions using applications that support compliance."

The linkage between the multi-device authentication package "SecureSuite XS*3" developed by NETMARKS and marketed by the Company since 2005, and the CPS, allows the use of a range of authentication methods when a client PC connects to a server, including fingerprints, veins and other biometric data, and IC cards.
Customers and application vendors have been asking us for some time to make it possible to use FeliCa (which is increasingly widely used for employee and student ID purposes) in a CPS environment and it is in response to this demand that NETMARKS developed SecureSuite CX.

NETMARKS will market SecureSuite CX to software vendors who develop CPS-related applications and expects to achieve sales worth approximately \100 million over the first 12 months.
