NETMARKS Becomes "EMC Authorized Services Network Partner",
Authorized to Provide EMC Product Design and Implementation Services
NETMARKS INC. (Moto-Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Atsushi Ohashi; "NETMARKS") on October 12, 2007 concluded an agreement with EMC Japan K.K. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshio Morohoshi l; "EMC Japan") whereby NETMARKS is authorized to provide professional services relating to EMC products as an "EMC Authorized Services Network Partner". Under the terms of the agreement, NETMARKS will be able to offer design and implementation services until now supplied by EMC Japan to users, on EMC Japan's behalf. NETMARKS plans to harness the SAN solutions know-how it has accumulated over may years with a view to further enhancing the level of service it provides to users, not only through pre-sales relating to EMC Japan products but also through the provision of systems on a one-stop basis, from design to implementation.
EMC Japan K.K.'s President Toshio Morohoshi comments on the new agreement as follows: "EMC Japan K.K. is delighted that NETMARKS has joined the ranks of the 'EMC ASN Partners'. The agreement came about because EMC and NETMARKS found that their business strategies coincided, and we believe that it will generate major business growth for both companies. Our aim is to use the synergy between EMC's wide range of total solutions and NETMARKS' strength in security solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and foster market growth."
In recent years, the demand for compliance and internal governance has led to an emphasis on system design proposal that takes governance of IT as a whole into account. In the field of storage systems, there is a need for close coordination with network and security systems, etc. and policy design, system design and construction know-how elements that integrate these have become essential. In future, NETMARKS plans to develop solutions that combine "file server integration systems" centering on WAN acceleration devices and "integrated log management systems" that manage the logs of the various systems connected to a network in an integrated manner, providing analysis, reporting, etc., with the great variety of network storage products supplied by EMC Japan.
